Deleting your account

You can delete your BandBook account and its data from inside the app, at any time, without contacting us.
How to delete your account
- Open the BandBook app and sign in.
- Go to Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Type DELETE to confirm.
Deletion begins immediately and cannot be undone. When it finishes you are signed out and returned to the sign-in screen.
What is deleted
- Your BandBook sign-in account, including your email address and password.
- Your display name and member profile in every band you belong to.
- Your annotations, personal tags, and per-chart preferences, in every band — including any left behind by a band you left in the past.
- Your entry in every band's member list.
- Your notification token, so no further alerts are sent to your devices.
- Your organizer permissions, if you had any.
What is not deleted
- Your band's library. Charts, parts, set lists, and performances belong to the band, not to you personally, and remain for the other members — including anything you uploaded as an organizer.
- A record that the deletion happened. Each band you belonged to keeps an administrative entry noting that an account was deleted. It contains no personal information — no name, no email address — only an internal identifier, and it is deleted automatically after 90 days.
- Bug reports you filed. These stay with the band so an organizer can still act on them.
- Crash diagnostics. Anonymous crash reports already sent to Firebase Crashlytics expire on their own 90-day schedule.
If you are a band's only organizer
BandBook will stop and tell you if you are the sole organizer of one or more bands, so that you don't accidentally leave a band with nobody able to manage it. You can either give another member organizer permissions first, or confirm that you want to proceed anyway — in which case those bands are left without an organizer and their members keep read access. Write to us if a band ends up stranded and needs a new organizer assigned.
Leaving one band instead
If you only want to leave a single band and keep your account, use Settings → Leave band. That removes you from that band's roster and leaves your account and your other bands intact.
